Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China has become effective since 1st of May 2021.The highlights are as follows:Article 30 Units and individuals that keep dogs shall, in accordance with the provisions, have the dogs they keep be regularly immunized against rabies vaccine and apply to the local dog registration authority for registration on the basis of an immunization certificate issued by an animal clinic.
Those who take dogs out of the home shall make sure the dogs wear dog tags and take measures such as keeping the dog on a leash to prevent the spread of dog injuries and diseases.202151   
Article 61 Institutions engaged in animal diagnosis and treatment activities shall meet the following requirements:(1) Have places suitable for animal diagnosis and treatment activities and meeting the requirements for animal epidemic prevention;(2) Have a practicing veterinarian suitable for animal diagnosis and treatment activities;(3) Have veterinary equipments suitable for animal diagnosis and treatment activities;(4) Have a sound management system.   
Article 62 An institution engaged in animal diagnosis and treatment activities shall apply to the competent department of agriculture and rural areas of the local people's government at or above the county level for a license for animal diagnosis and treatment.   
Article 69 The State implement the examination system for the qualification of practicing veterinary. Those engaged in animal diagnosis and treatment and other business activities shall also file a record with the competent department of agriculture and rural areas of the people's government at the county level where they are located.   
Article 92 Anyone who, in violation of the provisions of this Law, commits one of the following acts shall be ordered by the competent authority to make corrections within a specified period of time and may be fined not more than one thousand yuan; if he fails to do so within the time limit, he shall be fined not less than one thousand yuan and not more than five thousand yuan:(1) failing to immunize the animals raised in accordance with the compulsory immunization plan for animal diseases or the technical specifications of immunization;(2) Failing to immunize dogs against rabies on a regular basis in accordance with the provisions;   :.
