How can you relax in the evening? There are so many people that I know that are stressed out of their minds because they constantly work and work. So my first tip is you have to have a cut-off time. There needs to be a point in the evening where you do not work. And this helps add balance to your life. So pick a time and cut off and say, right, I am not doing any work past this hour. There may be the odd occasion you do. But I mean 80%, 90% of the time you do not do a thing. By doing that it really just allows your body to know it's time to chill out and relax.

Now what do you do in the evening? You can see friends. You can socialize. You could play a board game with your partner. You could be with your children. You could read a book. You could play music. You could dance. There are so many different things you can do.

 However, most people get stuck to technology. And this is what not to do: keep on watching TV and TV and TV!!! Or watching thousands of movies, or perhaps playing really addictive games that get your stress levels really high, or perhaps it's going out and getting really drunk on alcohol. I'm not sure what your escape is but I really challenge you, in the evening just to allow yourself to relax. Don't do things that cause you stress.


I used to play games and I used to find them interesting because of strategy. I was actually using my brain and strategizing. But I found I couldn't sleep as well because my brain was working in overload. So you've also got to think for yourself what is right for you to do, to allow you to really relax. 
 Last thing, what are the musts? I think journaling in the evening and reflecting on your day is so important. Also, think about three wins. What made today amazing? This is one of my favorite habits that I do. And also I love reading. I've got into my fiction books in the evening, just reading, getting immersed in a story and then going straight to bed. And it's been amazing for my quality of sleep and it's really helped me relax.

 So with that said, make sure that you can relax in the evening. Get a great evening routine. Because if you have a great evening routine, your morning routine will be a breeze.
