The Pacific Place shopping center in Seattle was the site of an alleged hate crime on Christmas.
A Seattle man who allegedly harried a group of tourists of Korean descent on Christmas night, shouting I hate Chinese and punching one of them, was arrested and charged with a hate crime, authorities said.
Aaron Charles Rowe, 30, followed the sightseers around Pacific Place, a downtown Seattle shopping mall, showering them with bigoted comments including f-----g Chinese, and leaving them rattled, according to a police report.
The four tourists were visiting the city from Korea, California and Missouri, cops said, and none of the visitors were injured in the incident.
Police said Rowes last known address was a downtown Seattle housing shelter and that he was booked into King County Jail twice before in December, on charges of felony harassment and felony malicious mischief.
Rowe has had 16 criminal warrants since 2016, prosecutors said. His bail was set at $15,000, and hes due in court Jan. 13
