An 82-year-old female bodybuilder used various household items including a table, shampoo and a broom to take down a man who broke into her home in Rochester, NY.


He picked the wrong house to break into, Willie Murphy said.


Murphy was getting ready for bed around 11 p.m. Thursday when a man started pounding on her door, saying Im sick, Im sick.



When she called the police and wouldnt let him inside, the man broke down the door, Murphy said.


So she grabbed the closest thing she could find to defend herself which happened to be a table with metal legs.


I took that table and I went to working on him, Murphy said. The table broke.


And when hes down, she continued, Im jumping on him.


Then, she grabbed a bottle of shampoo and emptied the whole thing on his face while he was on the ground, she said.



After that, I got the broom.


Hes pulling the broom. Im hitting him with the broom.


When police arrived, the man was taken to the hospital, and Murphy applauded as a star.


The officers that came wanted to go on my front porch and take selfies with me, she said.


Murphy works out at the Maplewood YMCA on a daily basis and can deadlift 225 pounds, she says.


Im alone and Im old, but guess what? Im tough, she said.
